AccDox: Calorie Calculator

Describe what you ate and we will calculate the calories

Note: Calories are approximate values. Actual values depend on preparation method and the specific product.
Beta version: calories are calculated using AI and the USDA FoodData Central database. Results are approximate and do not replace consultation with a dietitian. This tool is still improving — if you notice any inaccuracy, we would love to hear your feedback.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Describe freely what you ate — in Bulgarian, English or Turkish. AI analyses the text, extracts the foods and quantities, then looks up the calories in the USDA FoodData Central database. The result is displayed in seconds.

USDA FoodData Central is the official database of the United States Department of Agriculture. It contains over 600,000 foods with detailed nutritional values — calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins and minerals. The data is used by scientists, dietitians and health organisations worldwide.

For standard foods (chicken, rice, vegetables) accuracy is high — data comes directly from USDA. For specific dishes, AI makes an approximate estimate which may differ from actual values depending on the recipe and preparation method.

Yes. You can write in Bulgarian, English or Turkish. AI automatically detects the language, translates the foods to English for the USDA lookup and returns the result in your language.

When you see a yellow "AI" badge next to a food, it means USDA did not find an exact match and the calories are an approximate AI estimate. The green "USDA" badge means official data from the database.

Queries are cached anonymously in our database solely to improve speed — the next search for the same food does not require a new AI request. No personal information is stored.

The calculator is suitable for a general idea of calorie intake. For serious dieting or medical purposes we recommend consulting a dietitian or doctor.

We are still working on improving accuracy for specific dishes, regional recipes and combined meals. If you notice any inaccuracy, please let us know.
